Reflection…

Reflection…

As the year starts winding down – It’s time to reflect, clear your mind and take care of yourself!

Last week, I hosted an evening of REFLECTION and MINDFULNESS at The Wellness Executive studio. Earlier this year, I met Briana Bragg, founder of Vacation of the Mind who joined me and blew our guests away with a session of guided mediation.

This insightful workshop focused on gratitude and recognizing key triggers to seize each and every day. As the year end approaches, it is time to slow down and appreciate the joys and learn from the challenges. It’s time for self-care.

Hope these key takeaways allow you to absorb 2019 and get ready to 2020:

  1. Celebrate: Take time to look back on your accomplishments and failures. Celebrate them all. Big or small. Enjoy the journey and the process, don’t rush to reach the end as you might miss important lessons and opportunities along the way.
  2. Reflect: The difference between insanity and wisdom is reflection. Take time to understand your actions and their outcomes to determine if you are satisfied with the result. Insanity means you will continue doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. Wisdom – is taking accountability for the entire experience, drawing conclusions and making the change.
  3. Be Intentional: As you get ready for a new year, define your goals and own them. Make sure you set realistic expectations and keep an open mind to quickly adapt along the way. Evaluate your relationships and understand the value of time. You can’t be everything to everyone, concentrate your energy where you are most impactful.

Make a commitment to take care of yourself. Be consistent and don’t forget to enjoy and be present in the moment!
